Marine Engineer

Daniel is a former seagoing Chief Engineer with a background of container ships, marine aggregates dredgers, emergency response and rescue vessels, and passenger ferries where he was latterly manager of a team tasked with bringing new ships into management.

  • 9 years operational experience as Chief Engineer
  • Extensive experience on slow, medium and high-speed engines
  • Experience of bunker management of IGF vessels

He has experience in refit, drydocking, repair and conversion work of all these vessel types, as well as operational experience as Chief Engineer, responsible for maintaining the ships engineering department to the required international standards.

Mr Barton has also been responsible for the introduction of LNG bunkering to passenger ferries on the west coast of Scotland. Working closely with government departments on the delivery of high profile and major infrastructure projects.
