Shishir Tiwary
Consultant Marine Engineer
Shishir is a Marine Engineer with extensive experience on both LNG and oil tanker vessels, where he was responsible for their operation and maintenance. His experience at sea covers engine room machinery, deck machinery, cargo machinery including cargo containment systems and fuel gas systems.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Class 1 Engineering Certificate of Competency (Unlimited).
- VLCC Dry Docking, LNG Dry Docking and LNG new build vessels.
- Experience in QFLEX, QMAX, DFDE and ARC7 vessels.
- Certified and experienced on LNG STS operations.
Before joining waves group, Shishir worked as a lecturer at Warsash Maritime Academy for six years, teaching academic as well as engineering based modules to cadets and experienced seafarers. He has actively worked with the MCA and SQA during his time at Warsash, being involved in the assessment process of management Level SQA Engineering exams.
Shishir has experience in dry docking as well as new build LNG carriers including sea trials, gas trials and delivery of vessels. He has sailed as a senior engineer onboard, responsible for the operation and maintenance of engine room and cargo machinery. He is an experienced Cargo Engineer onboard LNG carrier actively involved in loading, discharging and cargo conditioning operations.
