Senior Marine Engineer
Eswynn is a Chartered Marine Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Member of IMarEST and UK Class One Chief Engineer with over 34 years of global maritime experience across LNG, LPG, crude and product tankers, DP shuttle tankers, Modular Capture vessels, offshore assets, and container vessels including 13 years of sailing with Wallem Shipmanagement.
His senior leadership roles as Head of Shipmanagement, Technical and Fleet Director with Energy Majors such as BP & MISC Petronas and major shipping lines span fleet operations, technical governance, >5000 Sea farer management , HSSEQ, newbuilds, innovation and large‑scale project execution.
As Technical Director, he led engineering, newbuild, and lifecycle management teams across Asia, directing US$6.4bn in LNG and dual‑fuel tanker projects and advancing digital transformation, energy‑efficiency strategies, and decarbonisation initiatives. His earlier role as Fleet Director & DPA covered global ship management for large fleets of vessels, including LNG‑powered tankers and DP shuttle fleets.
Eswynn, apart from serving as a member of various technical committees with Flag Administrations, Classification Societies, and part of the SIGTTO GPC, presentations on the first oil tanker LNG bunkering at NorShipping and several dual fuel forums has contributed as an SME to regulatory development and industry policy reviews across regions His expertise spans marine assurance, project shipping, operational readiness, and complex multi‑stakeholder engagement.
His deep understanding of the oil and gas supply chain underscores his strategic leadership in the industry and his role as the Shipping Project Manager and developing the shipping strategy of the US$12.3bn BP’s Tangguh LNG Train 3 Expansion in Indonesia and the involvement in life extension projects for the North West Shelf, Australia further strengthened his commercial, contractual, and multi‑stakeholder capabilities, whilst delivering integrated LNG export solutions and developing national capability.
