Andy has held senior leadership roles across the offshore renewables sector, including Chief Commercial Officer at Verlume Limited, where he led the commercialisation of pioneering subsea energy storage and management technologies. During his tenure, he negotiated the company’s largest contract with RWE for Oranje Wind Offshore Wind Farm, driving a 400% revenue increase in FY 2024, and was instrumental in Verlume being awarded “Outstanding SME” at the 2024 Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards.

At the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Andy founded the Floating Wind Centre of Excellence and co-developed the industry-recognised Fit For Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme, which has significantly advanced UK supply chain readiness for offshore projects. Earlier in his career at Siem Offshore Contractors, he secured three of the company’s largest inter-array cable projects—Veja Mate, Beatrice, and Hornsea 1—totalling more than £250m, while also establishing the company’s UK branch and leading the rollout of the Beatrice EPCI electrical package.

Before moving into renewables, Andy built a highly successful career at Ericsson in sub-Saharan Africa, serving as Vice President and Head of Industry & Government, where he concluded landmark submarine cable and telecoms infrastructure deals, including the $80m ADONES fibre-optic submarine system for Angola Telecom and a £100m “Smart-City” fibre network for Johannesburg.

Andy is passionate about the clean energy transition and has developed extensive relationships with offshore wind developers, OEMs, governments, and supply chain stakeholders globally. His leadership style is collaborative and forward-looking, fostering innovation while ensuring the delivery of practical, value-driven solutions.

He now plays a central role in shaping Waves Group’s business development strategy, with a focus on expanding offshore renewables, ports & harbours, and international growth across APAC and beyond.
