WAVES GROUP INCREASES ENGINEERING AND MARINE CASUALTY RESPONSE CAPABILITIES IN SINGAPORE

We are pleased to announce the further expansion of our Singapore team with the appointment of two Naval Architects, Liu Li and Mok Yu Ling.  They join Brian Armour (Consultant Maritime Civil Engineer) and Rajesh Raman (Consultant Master Mariner) who have successfully led our operations in Singapore.  The addition of Li and Yu Ling further increases our technical capabilities in engineering and Marine Warranty Surveying (MWS) services and further strengthens Waves Group’s ‘Rapid First Responder’ capability in marine casualties to better serve the growing marine and renewable energy industries across the APAC region.

Li has over 15 years’ experience working in marine and offshore engineering projects in the North Sea, West Africa, South-East Asia, Australia, and Brazil. He has detailed knowledge of Floating Offshore Units involving structure analysis, hydrodynamic analysis, intact and damage stability analysis, and mooring analysis. He has detailed experience of Heavy-lift engineering, rigging and ballasting operations as well as, design of fixed and floating offshore units/platforms and FPSO topside modules.

Yu Ling has over 12 years’ industry experience working on a range of offshore projects and wreck removal and salvage operations.  Her experience ranges from operations management, provision of marine warranty services, marine casualty investigation, salvage consultancy (including review of methodologies and on-site supervision), engineering design to FEED studies. She has experience in offshore heavy lift and tow operations, mooring systems and structural analysis.

Waves Group’s operations in Singapore focusses on shipping, offshore energy and ports and terminals and have over the past year, successfully delivered major projects including allisions, FFO damage incidents, port suitability studies, business interruption claims, container stack collapses and casualty response cases, and are currently providing marine warranty surveyor services for the construction of two offshore wind farms in Vietnam.
