Waves Group has announced the promotion of Naval Architect Chris Zammit to Associate Director – Energy Consultancy.
The appointment forms part of the continued development of the company’s Energy and Engineering leadership team, creating a dedicated role with responsibility for its engineering consultancy services.
In his new role, Chris will lead the delivery and development of Waves Group’s engineering consultancy services. His responsibilities will include providing technical leadership, supporting business development, expanding the company’s consultancy capabilities and ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality engineering solutions to clients worldwide.
A Chartered Engineer and European Engineer, Chris is a member of both the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and the Society of Marine Warranty Surveyors. Having studied Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering, he has developed extensive experience across the oil and gas, offshore wind, ship repair and port operations sectors.
Throughout his career, Chris has led the design and analysis of complex offshore structures, including jackets, topsides, FPSOs, FSUs and FLNG facilities, supporting projects through transportation, lifting, load-out and installation.
He also has significant experience in offshore wind construction, marine warranty surveying, salvage and wreck removal engineering, accident investigation and risk assessment, together with practical field engineering experience gained in shipyards, port terminals and offshore construction environments.
