A Busy Week of Celebrations and Connections for Waves Group

It’s been a full and memorable few weeks at Waves Group, with our teams marking two important anniversary moments on opposite sides of the world,  all while staying close to clients, partners, and industry friends. It really showed how far we’ve come, and how much the business continues to grow through the people who represent it.

20th Anniversary Moments at Floating Offshore Wind 2025 – Aberdeen

In Aberdeen, our team were out in force for Floating Offshore Wind 2025, and to mark Waves Group’s 20th anniversary, we hosted a relaxed drinks reception for clients and connections. It was a great chance to catch up, share what we’ve all been working on, and celebrate the relationships that have shaped the business.

Andy Martin opened the evening with a few words, telling everyone a little more about the Waves Group and reflecting on how the company has evolved over the years to become the specialised consultancy that now services the world’s leading offshore wind industry players.

Waves Group was represented by:

Andy Martin, Jeremy Panes, Warren Inniss, Ronan Byrne, Lisa Smiley, Roberto Tuda and Fiona Wood.

What the team took away from FOW25

  • A growing sense of optimism as key projects and investments start moving again.
  • More conversations around risk management and the need for clear, practical advice.
  • Increased interest in digital tools that support real-time decision-making.
  • A shared feeling that better alignment on regulations will make life easier for everyone working in floating wind.

Celebrations in Singapore, A Key Part of Waves Group’s APAC Journey

Meanwhile in Singapore, the team hosted a friendly, sociable gathering to celebrate Waves Group’s 20th anniversary with local clients and contacts. What began as our very first overseas office has since paved the way for successful openings in Houston and Rotterdam, strengthening our ability to support clients around the world.

It was a relaxed and enjoyable evening, a reminder of how far the business has come in APAC, and how important our Singapore base has become in connecting global expertise with regional needs.

Insights from Singapore:

  • Activity continues to build across offshore energy and subsea cable projects.
  • Clients are looking for teams who can operate confidently across borders, cultures, and regulatory systems.
  • Interconnector projects remain a key topic of interest across the region.
  • Having a strong local presence, backed by truly global capability, is proving more valuable than ever.
