Waves Group at the Forefront of London International Shipping Week 2025

London International Shipping Week 2025 (#LISW25) is almost here, and Waves Group is proud to play a central role in one of the industry’s most important global gatherings.

Date: 15th September - 19th September

Location: London

As an official sponsor of LISW25, Waves Group is demonstrating its commitment to driving forward innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence in shipping, offshore, and energy. With thousands of senior leaders from across the maritime world descending on London, this is a week of networking, debate, and fresh perspectives, and Waves Group will be right at the heart of it.

Leading the Conversation

We are delighted to be hosting and participating in a series of high-profile events throughout the week, showcasing our expertise and strengthening relationships across the global maritime community.

Monday 15 September – The Fuel Landscape: Now and in the Future

Waves Group kicks off the week with a joint panel event with HFW and Britannia P&I Club, exploring the rapidly evolving marine fuels sector. From regulatory compliance and commercial risk to innovation and decarbonisation, this high-level discussion will bring together expert voices from industry, government, and advisory.

Tuesday 16 September – Insight and Collaboration

On Tuesday, Waves Group experts will be sharing perspectives in two key forums:

  • Loss Prevention Webinar – FFO Claims: Jeroen Overbeek will join industry peers from Britannia P&I and Hill Dickinson LLP to explore the technical, legal, and operational challenges of Fixed & Floating Object (FFO) claims.
  • Bahamas Maritime Authority Flag State Panel: Nigel James will take part in the BMA’s 30th Anniversary Panel Discussion aboard HQS Wellington, reflecting on the role of flag states in a time of regulatory and technological transformation.

Wednesday 17 September – Global Leadership at the IMO

The mid-point of the week sees Waves Group participating in the Headline Conference at the International Maritime Organization. Under the theme The Management of Paradox in Global Shipping, this flagship event will convene over 750 senior leaders from industry and government.

This will be followed by the IMO Rooftop Reception, hosted by the Government of Gibraltar, offering an exclusive opportunity for networking and high-level engagement overlooking the Thames.

The day concludes in style at the LISW25 Champagne Gala Dinner and After Party at Evolution London, where Waves Group will host a table alongside nearly 2,000 industry VIPs.
