Most recently, Warren Inniss, Head of Energy APAC, and Andy Martin represented Waves Group as part of the UK Offshore Wind Mission to Korea, held in Seoul and Busan. The mission, supported by RenewableUK and the UK Department for Business and Trade, brought together key players across the offshore wind value chain.

During the visit, Warren and Andy presented on “Creating Certainty, Reducing Risk: How early engagement with marine consultancy & MWS reduces project risk”, sharing insights into how Waves Group delivers safe, technically assured solutions for energy infrastructure across the region.

While offshore wind remains a critical area of focus, particularly in Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam, Waves Group’s regional presence extends far beyond this. From oil and gas decommissioning to subsea cables, floating offshore wind, and energy transition projects, we are increasingly supporting APAC clients with a full spectrum of offshore engineering and marine consultancy services.

In addition to the conference, Warren and Andy undertook a series of targeted client meetings across Seoul and Busan, reinforcing our growing relationships with developers, EPC contractors, and insurers across the region. These visits highlighted Waves Group’s broader capabilities, including:

  • Project risk reviews and feasibility studies
  • Marine Warranty Surveying
  • Offshore engineering and naval architecture
  • Owner’s engineering and marine assurance
  • Greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction and decommissioning strategies

With a strong base in Singapore and global project experience including Taiwan, Vietnam, and South Korea, Waves Group is well-positioned to support the full lifecycle of energy projects in APAC, from early-stage planning through to installation and decommissioning.

The energy market in Asia-Pacific is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by both economic growth and the urgent need for sustainable infrastructure. At Waves Group, we’re proud to bring our global expertise and independent perspective to support that transition, helping clients deliver complex marine energy projects safely, efficiently, and with confidence.
