Our Head of Energy APAC, Warren Inniss, and Andy Martin travelled to South Korea to represent Waves Group and contribute to vital conversations around risk reduction and project certainty in offshore renewables.

On Monday 30th June, Warren spoke at the UK Offshore Wind Supply Chain Seminar 2025 in Seoul, hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). His presentation:

“Creating Certainty, Reducing Risk: How early engagement with marine consultancy & MWS reduces project risk” highlighted how early-stage collaboration with marine consultants and Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS) can significantly reduce risk and improve outcomes for offshore wind projects.

Later in the week the team will also attend the Offshore Wind Supply Chain Exhibition & Conference 2025, organised by the Korea Wind Energy Industry Association (KWEIA). This event brings together key stakeholders from across the APAC region to explore innovation, supply chain development, and opportunities in offshore wind.

As offshore wind continues to scale rapidly across Asia-Pacific, this mission provides a timely platform to share insights, foster partnerships, and reinforce the value of early planning and technical expertise in delivering successful renewable energy projects.

Will you be attending the event in Busan?

If you’d like to connect with Warren and Andy while they are in Korea, feel free to reach out directly or email us at [email protected].

Stay tuned for further updates from APAC as we continue to support offshore renewables projects around the world.
