Diving into the Big Conversations at ESCA Plenary Meeting No. 64
Next week, Richard Hill, our Subsea Cable Specialist, and Ming Wang will be heading to Giardini Naxos, Sicily for the European Subsea Cables Association (ESCA) Plenary Meeting No. 64 (1–2 October 2025).
Please note: This Event has past
Date: 1st October - 2nd October
Location: Delta Hotel, Sicily
Richard will be taking the stage to present on “Improving Subsea Power Cable Reliability” a topic at the heart of the offshore energy transition.
Drawing on real-world experience from offshore wind and interconnector projects, he’ll explore how smarter risk identification, planning, and engineering support can reduce downtime, extend asset life, and ultimately deliver more resilient power networks.
The ESCA Plenary is where subsea cable specialists from across Europe and beyond come together to share expertise and tackle the big issues facing the industry. This year’s discussions will dive into:
- Keeping cables secure and resilient
- Harnessing the potential of emerging sensing technologies
- Navigating environmental and consenting risks
- Overcoming installation and decommissioning challenges
- Shaping regional strategy and governance
With subsea cables playing a critical role in powering a net zero future, we’re excited to contribute to these conversations and connect with colleagues working beneath the surface to keep the lights on and the world connected.
If you’ll be there too and would like to connect with Richard or Ming, get in touch.
