James Anderson

Associate Director :: Engineering and Consultancy

James is a Naval Architect and Chartered Engineer with over 20 years’ experience working within the marine, oil and gas and UK defence sectors. He has a broad range of experience in concept and detailed design, testing and building of surface ships, submarines and offshore structures in the UK, Asia and central Europe.

James has worked as a project manager on a number of large scale projects in the Middle and Far East regions completing major infrastructure, oil and gas projects.

He has extensive knowledge of offshore operations and experience of worldwide heavy lift transports and expertise which includes large-scale marine and offshore design, construction, complex logistics management, and marine consultancy, claims and warranty. He is a keen sponsor and developer of health and safety culture within organisations and has a wealth of experience in risk assessment and operation mitigation.

James has project managed an international EPCI Contractor’s support engineering team and a major energy producer’s project logistics, overseeing large international multi-cultural project teams in the Middle East.

He has provided Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) services to a wide range of operations including towages, oil, gas, renewable, and shipping project loadouts. As MWS he was responsible for approving the technical detail, design and management of the operations. James has also had considerable involvement in marine and cargo casualty investigations and analysis including collision, fire, salvage, stability and strength to determine causation, repair and financial impacts.
